Brunch at Pâtisserie Rhubarbe

I am heading to Montreal soon in what has become a yearly pilgrimage. As much as I love this city, I just got back from New Zealand a week ago, and it was about 2 months of intense planning and research before that, so my brain cringes a little at the thought of planning another trip so soon. You would think that after having visited Montreal 5 times in the last 4 years, it would be easy at this point, but anyone familiar with the Montreal restaurant scene will know: these are decisions not to be taken lightly. To get myself out of my post-trip stupor, I am revisiting and sharing with you one of my favorite haunts, Pâtisserie Rhubarbe. You might have read about them in my other post on their afternoon tea. Well, let me tell you: they do Sunday brunch as well.

For all, brunch is a 3 course meal. It starts with a small pastry, which was a savory cheddar and chive scone in our case. I didn't take a picture, but they were amazing. My mom even bought out all the scones they had left. Then, each person chooses a main dish, and it's followed by a small dessert. Of course, additional sweets from their case afterwards are a must.

Cover photo: Three Cheese Strawberry Cheesecake. This was not part of brunch. Rather, it was my second dessert.
