High Tea at the London Edition

One of the most memorable experiences during my first trip to London was getting high tea. For anyone not familiar, it is basically a fancy pants afternoon tea, involving copious amounts of cake and scones and filled with all the pomp and fanfare that most people unrealistically imagine of modern British life. With the combination of indulgent overeating and tea-guzzling hydration (a state I rarely find myself in and achieved only by way of the social pressure that descended immediately upon setting foot on British soil), it's not surprising that I am a fan. In my expert opinion, one stemming from not-so-much actual experience as much as a near-constant impulse to look at internet food that I am unable to eat, no one does high tea like the English, especially those in London.

For my second experience, I chose Scandal Waters in the Punch Room of the London Edition, which serves a more unconventional tea. Here, you choose 3 selections from the menu, and each consists of a paired tea, cocktail, and snack.
