A Staycation at the Made Hotel
After what’s felt like the past five years of lockdown, essential work, and general pandemic life, I was starting to feel a little stir crazy and restless. So, I decided to do a one-night staycation at the Made Hotel. Although brief, it was a much needed opportunity to relax, recharge, and bask in the splendor of commercial air conditioning.
What I liked:
Being placed on the 17th floor, I couldn’t hear any street noises or traffic, just the gentle hum of the AC. It was incredibly relaxing and felt as though a mini isolation chamber.
Although not that big, the hotel packs in quite a few varied lounge spaces, perfect for reading, drinking coffee, sipping wine.
Whether visiting locally or from afar, the location is great. It’s right in the middle of many restaurants and points of interest and is close to most trains. Although I wasn’t exactly hitting up the sights, simply eating a take out spread in a bed not my own always feels like the height of luxury to me.
Something I wanted:
USB charging ports in the room!
