St. Malo
Upon arriving in Rennes, there was one singular place where everyone suggested I go: St. Malo. Its historical center is a small, seaside, fortified city that is about a 20 minute walk from the train station. While I did enjoy the morning spent here, I found it to be a bit more tourist-bent than some of the other, perhaps lesser-known cities in Brittany, an opinion that resonated with some of my non-French friends. Nevertheless, St. Malo is a cute, little town, and one definitely worthy of visiting.
